Detailed Information

The contract covers approximately 308 km of operational railway lines, distributed across the following rail sections:

Bogotá (km 5) – Belencito (km 262) Rail Corridor, 257 km long
La Caro (km 32+628) – Zipaquirá (km 53) Branch Line, 20.4 km long
Bogotá (km 5) – Facatativá (km 35+871) Section, 30.9 km long. On June 9, 2025, this section was almost entirely removed from the scope of the contract (from km 6 to km 35+871) as a result of its incorporation into the Regiotran de Occidente project.

The operation, administration, and oversight of these rail corridors was awarded in 2023 to the CTSA-Ingeral Consortium for a period of two years. The scope of their services includes maintenance interventions (replacing sleepers and rails, supplying ballast, etc.), construction of works at critical sites and minor works (walls, culverts, ditches, etc.), security, land management, environmental, social, and legal management, as well as the operation and revenue collection of the managed assets.

Current operations include the daily transport of students from universities located near Cajicá, the tourist train to Zipaquirá every weekend, and, recently, the tourist train between Chicamocha and Duitama.

The comprehensive oversight includes technical, administrative, financial, accounting, environmental, social, and legal components, all for the administration, oversight, traffic control, operation, and maintenance of the rail infrastructure.
