The project aims to reActivete the Antioquia railway, from La Pintada to Puerto Berrio, passing through Medellín. The studies and plans undertaken aim to create a multipurpose line, designed according to the most modern international railway standards, that will allow the transport of passengers, cargo, and solid waste, making it a visionary project that will drive development.

The studies and designs were carried out at the level of Optimized Feasibility for Section 2 (between the Primavera and Botero stations) and of pre-feasibility for Sections 1 (between the Alejandro Lopez stations in La Pintada and Primavera in Caldas) and 3 (between the Botero stations in Santo Domingo and Puerto Berrio).
